Blog #13:: A new journey

Last time we spoke Chris and I were planning our next trip. We decided to post pone that until after we move which is totally fine by me. Gives me some time to save up and pay off some debt. We’ll probably hit up Vegas or the Grand Canyon in the summer and then D.C for our anniversary. Just thinking out loud nothing official yet.

We decided next month that we’re going to start looking at places in the middle of both our jobs, maybe a townhouse (I can maybe get a dog then!) It’ll be tough with our budget but I think we’ll be okay finding what we want. I can’t believe how fast a year goes by though.

So what’s this new journey you ask?

I’m getting back into the fitness world. I stopped running because it got cold. Damn Chicago weather. But I’m going back to the gym to get back in shape and when it starts getting warmer again I shall run outside. I plan to do the Hot Chocolate Run 5K again at the end of the year. I talked to my sister and best friend who both have done and still do the 21 Day Fix and definitely plan to get that started too. First I want to get to the gym consistently before I start adding new workouts in on my off days. My goal is to workout 6 days a week and lose this stomach of mine. I did well with working out before and doing 6 days a week but I gave up on myself. I need to stop doing that. I’m going to just take it one day at a time. Like tomorrow, going to sign up to the gym and get started working out. I remember the machines I used last time I was there so that won’t be an issue.

I’m also going to meal prep and plan. I’m definitely interested in the portion control part and making sure all my foods are healthy ingredients. I’m excited to start this journey!

I weighed myself, took my photos and measurements this morning. My starting point::

2/27/2018- weight: 160.6lbs (not focusing so much on the scale but hey if it goes down I’m a happy camper!)
– tummy measures out to 41″ (not sure what I’m looking at goal wise, I just want to have a flat tummy and be healthy honestly)

I know drinking water is going to be the toughest for me. According to the 21 Day Fix app I need to drink 10 cups of water, so 80oz every day. Also making sure I meal prep and plan out my weeks. Tomorrow begins Day 1!
