This is my own personal recipe with salmon. Salmon is one of my favorite fish to eat and get creative with. The hoisin sauce in the ingredients gives it the sweet flavor, while the lemon adds a little sourness to it. I made this recipe with a side of steamed broccoli and a side of whole grain rice. The broccoli is super simple, I usually give myself seven minutes to steam the broccoli; I just add a little bit of crushed garlic and some plant butter to make it taste even better. Now for the salmon:
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. In a bowl combine 2 tea spoons of hoisin sauce, 2 tea spoons of olive oil, 2 tea spoons of Italian seasoning (or you can use oregano), 1 tea spoon of garlic, and half a lemon. Taste the mixture, and add more if desired.
- I put my salmon in tin foil so the juices don’t splatter, and I poured my mixture on top of the salmon. Leave in the oven for about 15 minutes and then you are good to go!
